This website is about you, your generation around the world.
With your global communication, with your fierce awareness that pollution is killing our planet, with your hatred of war, and with your commitment to a better village, a better country, a better world, you are the generation which must create a new epoch in human history.
We do not have time for more baby steps. We need long bold strides.
As a teacher, I believe in young people. I believe in your energy, your sense of right and wrong, and your determination to build a far better world than the one you have (very unfairly) inherited.
Therefore I have created this website for your generation around the world. I am not selling anything. No credit cards are needed. I spent a long and rich career in the classroom, working with young people . . . because I believe in you. From a teacher who refuses to retire, this website is my gift.
In addition, since I was a kid snorkeling in a lake filled with frogs and tadpoles and salamanders and turtles and schools of bright fish, I have deeply loved nature. Over the years, I watched that beautiful lake die. First it was weakened by acid snow and acid rain; the eggs which a multitude of creatures laid in the spring, as well as the tiny fragile hatchlings, could not tolerate the acidic water.
Far more devastating, fishermen stocked the lake (once a trout lake) with bass, large, voracious fish which ate absolutely everything but the clams and the beavers. Ultimately, the bass were feeding on their own baby bass.
As a kid, I snorkeled in a lake brimming with life. Fifty years later, I snorkeled in a lake that was virtually barren; no fish, no tadpoles, no salamanders, no crayfish, no snails.
Now I watch that same arrogant attitude as we destroy our entire world. I am more than angry. I am outraged.
Young people of the world, I hope that by using the four innovative services on this website, we can form a team—a global team—so that together we can build a healthy world, a prosperous world, and a world at peace.
